Soulog Inc. has launched Soulog Sense, an ultra-thin magnetic AI voice recorder that aims to do more than transcribe conversations: it funnels recordings, images, documents, and other context into a single app workflow that turns captured moments into summaries, action items, and finished work. The Dover, Delaware-based company announced the device on Monday, September 28, via GlobeNewswire.
At just 0.124 inches (3.15 millimeters) thick, Soulog Sense is designed to live on the back of a phone rather than in a pocket. Its dual-sided magnetic design attaches to a compatible phone or case on one side while holding a card holder on the other. The hardware charges over USB-C, carries dual AI noise-canceling microphones, and supports more than 50 hours of recording on a full charge without drawing power from the phone.

Recording That Grabs the Context Around It

Most AI note-takers stop at a transcript and a summary. Soulog's Personal Context System goes further: recordings are combined with notes, screenshots, photos, files, and webpages inside the Soulog app, where a Project Workspace keeps related material together across sessions. The device uses multimodal processing to read visual material — whiteboards, sticky notes, slide decks, handwritten notes, PDFs, and DOC files — and associate it with the relevant point in a recording.
Capturing a moment requires no app to be open. Users slide the Power Switch up, then slide the Recording Switch up to start and down to stop. A single click of the Multifunction Button highlights an important moment for later review. A 30-Minute Live Rewind feature can save up to the previous 30 minutes of audio when the button is held for two seconds — it is off by default and must be enabled in the app, and the company notes users are responsible for complying with recording and consent laws.

From Transcript to Finished Work

After a recording ends, Soulog generates transcripts in more than 120 languages with speaker recognition and vocabulary management. Unlimited transcription is free, while select premium features including Live Rewind and speaker recognition sit behind a 7-day Pro trial. Each recording becomes a structured record surfacing key decisions, action items, owners, and open questions.
The system also extends into downstream work: through MCP, a compatible AI agent on the user's computer can access available Soulog context to draft follow-ups and refine proposals. Users can then publish a share page in Soulog and send the link to clients or collaborators through Slack or other messaging apps.

Privacy and Availability

Soulog positions privacy as a product requirement: recordings are encrypted on the device, in transit, and in storage; recordings and transcripts are not used to train AI models or sold; and registered voice profiles are encrypted and managed by the user. Cloud sync is off by default, with users choosing when to sync, export, or delete their information.

"People do not have an information problem so much as a retrieval problem," said Jane, Marketing Lead at Soulog Inc. "The value is not in the recording itself. It is being able to ask a question several weeks later and get an answer that reflects what was actually said, alongside a photo or screenshot the user saved to the Soulog app at the time." Availability details and launch notifications are published on the company's website, soulog.com. Soulog Sense follows the company's first product, Soulog Sense Note.
