Cybersecurity company Sophos on Thursday launched Sophos CISO Advantage, a new agentic AI-enabled service designed to connect day-to-day security operations with long-term security strategy.
The offering gives organizations, with or without a chief information security officer, a clear picture of their cyber risk, a prioritized plan to reduce it, and measurable proof of progress, presented in plain language that business leaders can understand, fund, and act on.
Delivered through Sophos Fusion, the company's AI-native cybersecurity defense system, the service begins rolling out today across North America, the United Kingdom, and the rest of Europe, according to the company's announcement.
Turning security data into strategy
Sophos positions CISO Advantage as a new category in the cybersecurity market: turning security data into strategy and measurable improvement, driven by agentic AI.
The offering assesses an organization's environment, maps it against industry frameworks, and converts the results into a prioritized plan at a speed and scale that human experts alone cannot reach, the company said.
The pitch addresses a persistent gap. Global spending on information security is expected to reach $240 billion in 2026, yet the market remains fragmented.
Many organizations still rely on disconnected assessments, spreadsheets, and point solutions to understand and manage cyber risk, making it difficult to measure progress, prioritize investments, and demonstrate the impact of their cybersecurity programs.
MSPs see rising demand for CISO services
The launch follows Sophos's MSP Perspectives 2026 research, which found that 84 percent of managed service providers see rising demand for CISO services amid increasingly complex security environments and AI risks.
The independent, vendor-agnostic survey of 800 MSPs across the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Singapore, Australia, and Brazil was commissioned by Sophos and conducted by Vanson Bourne in April 2026.
The research also highlights the delivery gap the new service is meant to fill. While 86 percent of MSPs use a fully or semi-automated process to produce consolidated security posture reports, 55 percent still require manual effort, and just 31 percent can generate reports quickly through a fully automated process.
Only 36 percent rely on a single tool or platform to manage cybersecurity compliance or CISO-type activities, while 53 percent use multiple tools or platforms.
A billable service for partners
For managed service providers, CISO Advantage is designed to turn the CISO role many already perform into a structured, scalable, and billable cyber program management service.
Using agentic AI-accelerated assessment, reporting, and roadmap workflows, it supports board-ready insights, framework-mapped evidence, and prioritized action plans across a provider's customer base, Sophos said.
By combining agentic AI with human judgment, Sophos argues, even organizations that cannot afford a full-time CISO can run a security program they can measure, fund, and prove, bringing enterprise-grade strategy within reach of every organization.
