Samsung is preparing to expand its flagship smartphone lineup with a new Galaxy S26 model at its Galaxy Event on August 27, 2026.
The company has officially confirmed that the event will introduce the “newest addition to the Galaxy S26 family,” promising to bring key Galaxy S26 experiences covering cameras, artificial intelligence and the latest One UI software to a broader audience.
Although Samsung has not revealed the phone’s name ahead of the presentation, industry reports and recent leaks overwhelmingly point to the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE, the next generation of its more affordable Fan Edition smartphone.
Leaks suggest the Galaxy S26 FE could feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, an Exynos 2500 processor and a triple-camera system consisting of a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide and 8MP telephoto sensor. These specifications remain unofficial until Samsung confirms them.
AI is also expected to be a major focus. Samsung’s official teaser specifically highlights experiences ranging from camera to AI, suggesting the new phone will bring several Galaxy AI capabilities from the premium S26 lineup to the Fan Edition series.
The Galaxy Event will be streamed live through Samsung.com and Samsung’s YouTube channel beginning at 12:00 PM UTC / 9:00 PM KST.
If the expected Galaxy S26 FE is revealed, Samsung will be looking to attract customers who want many flagship S26 features without paying the price of its most premium Galaxy smartphones.
