Ridgeline, the investment management software company founded by PeopleSoft and Workday creator Dave Duffield, has raised $250 million in a Series E round that values it at $1.425 billion, as more wealth and asset managers hand their core operations to its AI-native platform.

A founder-led, invitation-only round

The round was led by Duffield himself in his role as founder and chairman, and was structured as an invitation-only financing that drew heavy participation from Ridgeline's own customers and affiliates. Motley Fool Ventures, associates of Smead Capital Management, and Patrick O'Shaughnessy, the chief executive of Positive Sum, all joined the raise.
Ridgeline, founded in 2017 and based in Incline Village, Nevada, sells a single cloud-native platform that combines trading, portfolio accounting, compliance, client reporting, and servicing in one unified data model — replacing the patchwork of disconnected legacy systems many firms still run on their own premises.

AI built into the data model

The company says its unified data model gives AI agents full, permissioned context, letting them move from answering questions to safely taking action — preparing for client meetings, reconciling accounts, and checking trades for compliance with built-in audit trails. More than $750 billion in assets under management or administration is now committed to the platform, and Ridgeline expects that figure to reach $1 trillion in early 2027.
With Pakistan's brokerage and wealth-management sector steadily digitizing, the idea of one AI-ready operating layer handling the industry's back-office grind could find a receptive audience among firms looking to modernize without rebuilding from scratch.
