The stock opened at Rs 55 per share on the National Stock Exchange, a 61.76 percent premium to its issue price of Rs 34 apiece. On the BSE, the shares debuted at Rs 55.61, marking a 63.56 percent premium. The strong opening handed investors a gain of Rs 21 to Rs 21.61 per share on the listing day itself.
Moneyview's market capitalization rose to roughly Rs 9,788.65 crore after listing, compared with about Rs 5,984.79 crore at the IPO price. The debut even beat grey-market expectations, which had pegged the listing price at around Rs 48.60.
A Rs 1,091.68 Crore Issue, Subscribed Nearly 100 Times
The Rs 1,091.68 crore book-built issue comprised a fresh issue of 22.06 crore shares worth Rs 750 crore and an offer for sale of about 10.05 crore shares worth Rs 341.68 crore by promoters and existing investors.
The IPO was open for subscription from September 24 to September 28 and drew an overwhelming response, with the issue subscribed nearly 100 times overall. The qualified institutional buyers' portion was subscribed more than 225 times, the non-institutional investor category over 115 times, and the retail portion around 20 times.
The company also raised Rs 327.50 crore from anchor investors ahead of the public offering, signaling strong institutional confidence before the listing.
Backed by Accel and Tiger Global
Moneyview counts some of the biggest names in venture capital among its backers. Accel was the largest shareholder as of September 20 with a 21.89 percent stake, followed by Tiger Global with 13.79 percent. Promoter Sanjay Aggarwal held 10.33 percent, while Ribbit Capital and founder Puneet Agarwal held 10.2 percent and 8.66 percent respectively.
The founders — Puneet Agarwal and Sanjay Aggarwal — along with investors including Accel, Tiger Global Management, Ribbit Capital, DI Investment and Crimson Winter sold shares through the offer for sale.
The IPO was managed by Axis Capital, BofA Securities India, IIFL Capital Services and Kotak Mahindra Capital, with MUFG Intime India acting as registrar.
What the Fresh Capital Will Fund
Moneyview plans to use around Rs 325 crore from the fresh issue proceeds to drive growth in loan disbursals under default loss guarantee arrangements, and to augment the capital base of its material subsidiary, with the remainder earmarked for general corporate purposes.
The blockbuster listing adds another data point to India's busy 2026 IPO calendar, where technology and fintech issuers continue to draw heavy demand from both institutional and retail investors.
