IFA 2026 is turning Berlin into a showcase for some of the year’s most unusual and experimental consumer technology.

Major brands and emerging companies are using the event to demonstrate devices that go far beyond traditional smartphones, laptops and home appliances.

Among the standout products are Lenovo’s Project Swan rollable laptop concept, Tecno’s nearly bezelless smartphone, rugged phones with detachable action cameras and new AI-powered smart glasses designed to blend digital information into everyday life.

Robotics is also playing a major role at the show. iRobot demonstrated the Roomba Duo concept, which combines a powerful main cleaning robot with a smaller secondary robot that can reach tight spaces and areas underneath furniture.

IFA 2026 is also packed with unusual smart-home technology, including smart fish tanks, intelligent lighting systems, advanced robot cleaners and home hubs powered by local AI.

Wearable technology is becoming increasingly experimental as well, with products such as AI-enabled earbuds, lightweight smart glasses and devices designed to record, summarize and assist users throughout the day.

The wide variety of products at IFA 2026 shows how technology companies are increasingly experimenting with new form factors, artificial intelligence and robotics in an effort to find the next major consumer-tech category.
