Foxconn says surging demand for artificial intelligence hardware is becoming one of the strongest growth engines in the company’s history.
The Taiwanese electronics manufacturing giant reported record August revenue of T$921.8 billion, or about $29.15 billion, representing an increase of nearly 52% compared with the same month last year.
Foxconn, which is a major supplier of AI servers and works with companies including Nvidia, has benefited heavily from the rapid expansion of data centers and AI computing infrastructure around the world.
The company expects its third-quarter performance to exceed market expectations as strong demand for AI-related products combines with the traditional seasonal peak for consumer electronics and information technology products.
Foxconn also recently reported a 35% rise in second-quarter profit, beating analyst expectations and reinforcing the growing importance of AI servers to its overall business.
The company’s strong results highlight how the AI boom is benefiting not only chipmakers such as Nvidia but also manufacturers responsible for assembling servers, networking equipment and other critical data-center hardware.
Despite the positive outlook, Foxconn remains cautious about geopolitical and economic uncertainty that could affect global supply chains and technology spending.
