Clueso, a startup building AI agents that produce and maintain business videos, has raised $10 million in Series A funding to turn enterprise video from a one-off production chore into a self-updating workflow. The round, announced on October 13, was led by Dharana Capital and brings the three-year-old company's total funding to $12 million.

Founders Future and Neotribe Ventures joined as new investors, with continued participation from Y Combinator and f7 Ventures. Notably, more than 80 percent of the new capital came from existing investors doubling down on their positions, a strong signal of insider confidence in the company's direction.

From product tutorials to an AI video production team

Clueso was founded in 2023 by Akash Anand, Prajwal Prakash, and Neel Balar, who ran into the problem first-hand at their previous company. The team operates across San Francisco and Bengaluru and began by helping customer-facing teams create product tutorials faster.

"We quickly saw the same problem across marketing, sales, training and internal documentation," said co-founder and CEO Akash Anand. "Today, Clueso acts as an AI video production team that anyone or any team in the organisation can rely on, handling the work of creating, editing and maintaining videos as the business moves."

Rather than simply generating clips, Clueso's agents are designed to understand a company's products, processes, brand, and context. They capture real software workflows, generate scripts and voiceovers, edit footage, and enforce brand consistency — then keep videos accurate as products change.

The platform also integrates with AI assistants through the Model Context Protocol, so tools like Claude and ChatGPT can create, edit, and manage videos directly on Clueso.

More than 1,000 companies, big-name logos

Clueso says more than 1,000 companies now use its platform to produce videos for marketing, customer success, onboarding, training, sales enablement, and operations. Its customer list includes Atlassian, Zendesk, Gainsight, Seismic, and Ironclad.

The company reports that teams using its platform have seen productivity gains of more than fivefold and an 80 percent reduction in video production costs — figures that are company claims rather than independently verified results.

Garrett Marttinen, head of customer learning at Atlassian, said Clueso turns rough, scrappy input into polished, on-brand output and has helped the company dramatically reduce the burden of creating and maintaining learning videos at scale.

Insiders double down

The funding composition is unusual: with existing backers supplying over 80 percent of the round, the Series A reads as much as a vote of confidence as a capital raise.

Dharana Capital founder and managing partner Vamsi Duvvuri framed the bet as infrastructure: with AI, video is evolving from static media files into living, context-aware assets that continuously adapt as business processes and products change.

Clueso plans to use the fresh capital to expand its enterprise sales and go-to-market operations, deepen its agentic AI capabilities, improve editing features, and strengthen integrations with business software.

The funding arrives as enterprises race to automate content-heavy workflows — and as every software update risks making yesterday's tutorial library obsolete.
