Apple's Beats brand has officially put its new Beats 360 over-ear headphones on sale, with the headphones now available at Apple Stores around the world as of September 24. Retailers including Best Buy and Target also have stock in stores. The launch follows months of teasers from Beats and marks one of the brand's most ambitious headphone releases in years.

A fresh design with interchangeable ear cushions

The Beats 360 adopt a design similar to the AirPods Max, with a clean, premium look that feels more refined than previous Beats over-ears. The standout feature is interchangeable ear cushions: the headphones ship with breathable Performance Knit memory foam cushions designed for workouts, while softer UltraPlush cushions with a pillowy feel can be purchased separately for pure comfort listening.

For a limited time, Apple is selling the add-on cushions at a discounted price of $9.99 through October 31. The headphones themselves come in four colours: Black, Cloud, Pink and Sky. The Performance Knit cushions are available in Black, Cloud, Pink, Sky, Navy and Volt, while the UltraPlush option comes in Black and Cloud.

Stronger noise cancellation and spatial audio

Compared with the Beats Studio Pro, the Beats 360 deliver up to 1.75x more noise cancellation along with improved sound quality, according to Beats. They support Personalized Spatial Audio for a more immersive, tailored listening experience, plus Transparency mode for hearing the world around you and Adaptive EQ that tunes the sound to the fit of the cushions.

The headphones also carry an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance, making them suitable for the gym, an area where many premium over-ears fear to tread.

Battery life and everyday convenience

Battery life is rated at up to 32 hours, which should comfortably cover a full work week of listening for most people, and a quick top-up over USB-C will get you back to your playlist fast. While Beats has not detailed exact fast-charging figures in the launch materials, 32 hours puts the Beats 360 comfortably in line with class leaders from Sony and Bose. Fast pairing and automatic device switching make moving between an iPhone, Mac and iPad seamless, a hallmark of the Beats and AirPods ecosystem.

Together, the combination of long battery life, gym-friendly durability and the cushion-swapping system gives the Beats 360 a distinct identity in a crowded premium headphone market dominated by Sony, Bose and Apple's own AirPods Max.

Beats has been on a roll under Apple's ownership, steadily rebuilding its reputation from bass-heavy fashion headphones to serious audio products. The Beats 360 feels like the culmination of that effort: it borrows the premium build language of the AirPods Max while undercutting it significantly on price and adding the kind of practical touches, like swappable cushions and sweat resistance, that Apple's own flagship lacks.

The cushion system is also a clever answer to a real problem. Over-ear headphones live or die by comfort, and ear cushions wear out over time. Making them user-replaceable extends the life of the product and lets owners refresh the look, a small but meaningful step toward more sustainable tech.

Price and Pakistan availability

The Beats 360 are priced at $349.99 in the US. Apple does not operate official stores in Pakistan, so local buyers will need to rely on authorised Apple resellers, premium retailers and importers to get their hands on a pair.

No official Pakistan price has been announced. At the US price, a rough conversion suggests the headphones could land around Rs 100,000 to Rs 115,000 locally once import costs and retailer margins are factored in, but this is only an estimate. Availability in Pakistan will likely follow in the coming weeks through the usual import channels, and buyers should check with trusted resellers for genuine units with warranty.
