Unveiled at Acer's Computex showcase earlier this year, the Atlas 8 is built around Intel's Arc G3 processors and runs Windows, giving players access to their existing PC game libraries on the go.
Configurations and pricing
The entry-level Predator Atlas 8 costs £999.99 and pairs an Intel Arc G3 processor with 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a 60Whr battery. A £1,099.99 variant raises memory to 24GB while keeping the same storage and battery.
The flagship Atlas 8 Extreme at £1,299.99 upgrades to the Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor with 24GB of memory, a 1TB SSD, and an 80Whr battery. A 32GB version of the Extreme model costs £1,499.99.
Display and controls
Every configuration shares the same eight-inch 120Hz display, hall-effect joysticks, and active cooling. Intel XeSS upscaling is also included, which should help the handheld punch above its weight in demanding titles.
The launch comes as Acer expands its handheld portfolio, having also announced the smaller 7-inch Predator Atlas 7 at IFA Berlin. With the Atlas 8 now on British shelves, Acer is positioning itself firmly in the premium tier of portable PC gaming.
